sign out policy
When you need to pick up your child early from school you must go to the main office to sign out your child with the office staff. Please use the school front doors (with the buzzer) to enter the school. Your continued cooperation with these important safety rules help us to ensure that our students have a safe and successful time at school.
school parking lot
The school parking lot is to be used by TDSB staff only. Please be sure to adhere to this rule, as this is to prevent students from running between and behind parked cars during drop off/ pick up and school hours.
For your child’s safety, please drop off your child at the back/ playground entrance off Woodville Ave. or front/Torrens Ave. entrance. If you need to park, there is short term parking on Torrens Ave. (avoid the bus drop off zone) and parking on the streets just behind the school. 54 Division Traffic and Parking Enforcement officers will be monitoring and ticketing drivers who are violating the traffic and parking regulations.
Please do not use the parking lot for pick up and drop off, as this is a serious safety issue.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us work together to enhance student safety.

lunch & lunchroom policies
When at school for lunch your child will be expected to eat in and stay on school property for the duration of the lunch hour. All students attending the supervised lunch period must abide by the lunchroom and lunchtime routines. Students must bring their lunches with them in the morning; lunch drop-offs can be made outside the school office in the LATE LUNCHES BIN. After lunch students are supervised in the school yard.

Please pack snacks and foods that are NUT FREE, as William Burgess is a nut safe school. Thank you.
