Parent Council is a great opportunity for parents or caregivers to have a greater say in your child's education. Parent Council meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the School Library. At each meeting our principal provides a report on the school and attendees are given various updates from council. All parents, guardians and caregivers are welcome to attend the monthly Parent Council meetings; free child care is made available. We hope to see you there!
2017/2018 Budget Allocation
All of the hard work put into fundraising comes together in October each year when we have our Parent Council budget meeting. To ensure that fundraising money goes towards items of the greatest benefit to our school, to learning achievement, and to our community at large, we are asking you to submit spending requests and suggestions by October 7th, 2018. This will allow for the greatest number of parents to get involved and have their voices heard. Even if you are not a voting member of parent council, you are welcome to join the meeting and provide your suggestions on how funds raised should be spent.
This year, thanks to all the hard work by the parents, school staff, and the community, we have just over $13,000 to allocate for the 2017/2018 school year! So, please send us your spending ideas by October 7th so we can send the list out for all to consider prior to our budget meeting on Tuesday, October 17th.
